As we come to the end of the year we’ve had a bit of fun at Brompton HQ voting for our favourite video featuring Brompton of 2012. There have been all sorts of videos put out over the last 12 months from documentation of long trips, coverage of some of the events we’ve had right through to some hilarious Olympic action and new designs. Here’s our top 10:

1. Whilst Olympic fever was gripping the capital and Britain’s cyclists were doing us proud on the road and the track this gem dropped into our inboxes. We are not sure who ‘Bill Brompton’ is but he was clearly an inspired individual to edit this unexpected Brompton victory. Brompton Keirin

2. Just when you were wondering where a video of Bromptons in a velodrome were, two come along at once. This promotional video celebrating the launch of the Brompton World championship was shot in April at the Manchester velodrome on a particularly wet Sunday. 3. Brompton Designer David Edwards had a wedding to go to in the South of France so he and a friend decided to take the opportunity to combine train and bike by taking the Eurostar to Paris and riding the rest of the way. This was also featured in one of the first posts on this blog. Easter Ride

4. The previous video of our factory had got a bit outdated as we’d changed a number of processes over the years to improve quality and be more efficient. Early in 2012 we commissioned Ben Marshall to make this short video which gives an overview of the factory and shows the work involved in making a Brompton. 5. Probably the funniest video of the year. Deadpan British humour. Watch! Bike Butterfly

6. The largest folding bike race in the world. The 2012 Brompton World Championship did not disappoint. Two new events were added, the Marathon and the Sprint, meaning hardy participants could battle it for the coveted title of the Brompton Treble! BWC2012

7. Our friends Path Less Pedalled spent much of 2011 and some of 2012 touring around the US and New Zealand on Bromptons. 8. South Korean Magazine simply named ‘B’ provides in depth coverage of brands in a beautifully laid out format. Journalists from the magazine visited Brompton earlier in the year and then went back to Seoul and made this nice video showcasing Brompton.‘B’ Magazine, 5^th Issue: Brompton

9. Another one for long distance enthusiasts. Cycling and walking in rural South West Ireland. Very nicely shot, too. Pack-biking into Glanteenassig Forest Park

10. The biggest Brompton race outside of the UK in 2012 took place in South Korea. The event, attended by Andrew Ritchie, looked like huge amount of fun and included a number of other Brompton events. Next year is set to be even bigger. Brompton Korean Championship
